Next, I am in awe that Madyson is 11 months old today! It makes me sad that my baby is nearly 1 year old; it has gone by entirely too fast and I feel like both of my girls need to SLOW DOWN and stay little for a bit longer! Madyson is VERY close to walking, as she has taken a few steps in the past few days. She just needs to build her confidence a bit more and then she'll be off...and by that I mean I think it will be difficult to catch the little stinker! Her language skills are advancing quickly, which really makes us realize how much Caitlyn's prematurity effected the speed of language development for her (she didn't say her 1st word until after she was 1 year old). Madyson recognizes a lot words, she has been saying "uh oh," "mommy," "daddy," and "hi" for quite some time, and she has started saying "hello," "there you go, and "what's that" recently. Of course, she doesn't say the last words clearly but we're able to make out what she's saying and she says everything in the correct context. She has also been waving "good-bye," which is the cutest thing!
My sweet Caitlyn turns 4 years old in 2 weeks...that's right FOUR years old!! It was four years ago yesterday that I was hospitalized with pre-eclampsia, which seems like just yesterday. We have been planning Caitlyn's birthday party, which we are going to have at one of the toy stores in town with a "stuff and fluff" theme (each child stuff and dresses his or her own animal, similar to Build a Bear). Caitlyn is excited and this year it has been difficult deciding which of her friends to invite, as there are 21 kids in her pre-school age group at daycare and while we hate leaving anyone out, there's just NO way we can invite 21 3-5 year olds to a party!
We're excited for the Holidays this year, but it is a bit overwhelming. We start with my birthday in October, Caitlyn's b-day in November(and now Sadie) + Thanksgiving, Madyson/Hayley/Logan in December + Christmas, Spencer in January, & Chadron in February + Valentine's Day!! It is definately a "fine art" budgeting for everything that goes on from Oct-Feb!

Caitlyn @ her Fall music program
Madyson managed to climb on the cushsion (Caitlyn was in the process of building a house) and was trying to get her walker down....another daredevil!
Heaven help us when Madyson REALLY starts walking!
She really had her eyes on us and her Grammy when she was singing!
This is Madyson saying "here you go."
